I designed the graphic applications for the exhibition held at the Kommagene Cultural Center in Adıyaman, between June 13–20, which focused on children’s relationship with the city in the aftermath of the earthquake. The Perre Children and City Biennial aimed to explore how children perceive, question, and imagine urban life, particularly in a city recovering from the effects of the earthquake. It was a great pleasure for me to be a part of such a meaningful project with my professor Kibele Yarman, who designed the visual identity of the biennial.
Seeing how children filled the panels with their own ideas showed me how dynamic and alive design can be. This process reminded me that design is not only a matter of production, but also of interaction.
The project was created by the Şehir Dedektifi Kent ve Sanat Derneği at Adıyaman in 2025, June.

BRIEF
Design exhibition applications including panels, signage, brochures and entrance visuals. The design should reflect the diversity and richness of the visual identity, as well as showcasing the graphic elements across different formats and scales.
SOLUTION
A consistent visual language was developed to guide the use of color and graphic elements across all applications. Interactive panels, where children could engage directly, were highlighted in yellow to encourage participation. On workshop panels, graphic elements were used in symbolic ways to reflect the theme of each workshop. The graphics were used as a visual language to showcase the narrative potential of the system.
